Grow Financial Donates $50,000 to Hurricane Ian Relief Efforts

As an organization founded on MacDill Air Force Base and based in the Tampa Bay area, we’ve wanted to do everything we can to support our neighboring Florida communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. To help our members deal with unexpected financial difficulties, we’ve provided emergency financial assistance, and our team members have spent time volunteering with local organizations in both Florida and South Carolina. One more way we’ve been able to help with Hurricane Ian relief is through charitable donations.

CEO Thomas Feindt said, “Our hearts are heavy after seeing the devastation — physical, emotional and financial — caused by Hurricane Ian. Many members and team members in the area we serve have been affected, and as an organization dedicated to serving people over profit, we need to do all we can to support our local community during the recovery.” Grow has contributed $25,000 each to Metropolitan Ministries and Feeding Tampa Bay, two incredible organizations doing important work in our local communities providing meals and other essentials to families in need.

About Feeding Tampa Bay

Feeding Tampa Bay understands that food insecurity can affect anyone and believes that food makes tomorrow possible. As part of the national Feeding America network, Feeding Tampa Bay provides food to nearly 1 million food insecure families in West Central Florida. Their mission is to change lives one meal at a time by leading their community in the fight against hunger. Driven by their guiding principles of passion, knowledge, service, integrity, community and partnership, Feeding Tampa Bay works toward a hunger-free Tampa Bay every day.

Throughout the year, Grow team members support these two wonderful organizations with service hours. If you’re looking to give of your time as part of Hurricane Ian Relief, learn more about volunteering at Metropolitan Ministries and Feeding Tampa Bay.

Severe weather events can cause impacts beyond financial ones. The Florida Department of Children and Families launched several support lines which assist those who were impacted by Hurricane Ian.
