Grow Financial Supports Hillsborough County’s Academy of Finance

For the high-school seniors in Hillsborough County’s Academy of Finance (AOF) program, the road to graduation has been rigorous. Grow Financial showed support for this year’s program completers during a celebratory breakfast honoring their achievements.

Joe Rosado, Grow’s Senior Vice President of Real Estate Lending and Business Solutions, has served as the Chairman of the Hillsborough County Chapter Academy of Finance for the last five years.

“The Academy of Finance program is designed to bring businesses and educators together to put students on a career path in finance,” Rosado said. “We are proud to support this program and invest in the future of the industry.”

The AOF program gives high-school students an opportunity to learn about and prepare for college and careers in financial services. A strong emphasis is placed on college preparatory curriculum and real-world experiences that are directly linked to the financial world.

Several of this year’s program completers, Alexandra Williams, Alejandro Hernandez and Rhiannon Carty, have benefitted from workplace learning through internships at Grow. Jeff Eakins, Hillsborough County Public Schools Superintendent, is glad to see this kind of support from local businesses.

“Grow Financial has been a true backbone of this program,” Eakins said. “Everything that they have done to support this program has really launched it to take it to the level it is today which is incredible.”

Congratulations to all the seniors who have completed the Academy of Finance program! We look forward to working alongside you to improve the financial industry!
