We’re Watching Your Back After Wawa Data Breach

By now, you’ve probably heard about Wawa’s recent data breach that affected payment card information, including credit and debit card numbers, expiration dates, and cardholder names, used at potentially all Wawa in-store payment terminals and fuel dispensers between March 4, 2019, and December 12, 2019.

When things like this happen, we take a proactive approach to protecting members because maintaining the security of your confidential information is our highest priority. If you think you may have been impacted by this breach, know that we’re looking out for you and want to help you look out for yourself too.

Here’s what we’ll do:

  • Watch your back. We’ll be closely monitoring potentially impacted Grow Visa® credit and debit card accounts for any indication of fraudulent activity.
  • Protect your money. With the protection of Visa’s Zero Fraud Liability policy, you won’t be held liable if any unauthorized charges are made with your card.
  • Answer your questions. If you have any questions, please call our Member Contact Center at 800.839.6328 or visit your nearest Grow store and a Relationship Specialist will be happy to assist you.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Monitor your account activity. Keep a close eye on your transactions using Grow online and mobile banking or the Grow CardManager app.* If you see a transaction that wasn’t you, contact us immediately at 800.839.6328.
  • Update your card controls. You can enhance your security by setting card controls for your Grow Visa credit and debit cards using the the Grow CardManager app. Download today from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • Enroll in identity theft protection and credit monitoring. Wawa has arranged with Experian to provide potentially impacted customers with one year of identity theft protection and credit monitoring at no charge. Visit their website to learn more and sign up.
