Grow Financial Foundation Helps Fight Childhood Food Insecurity
Summer 2020 may not have been what we expected, filled with travel and outings with family and friends, but just like every summer, there were still opportunities to help out in our community, perhaps even more so this year. In this time when it may seem like nothing is normal, normal for the Grow Financial Foundation is serving those in need, so that’s exactly what they’re doing by helping fight childhood food insecurity.
Thanks to the generosity of our Grow team members and members, the Grow Financial Foundation was able to make significant food donations that made a real impact on the fight against food insecurity in our local Florida and South Carolina markets. The July food drive focused on Kids Helping Kids Pasco County, Inc. and Community Food Pantry in Florida and Richland County School District Two and Helping Hands of Goose Creek in South Carolina.
“Thank you again for everything! Because of the success of the food drive, we were able to extend our food deliveries through August 15, which meant 128 Pasco children received another two weeks’ worth of food!” Michelle Patel of Kids Helping Kids Pasco County, Inc. shared.
Tami Volkert, scrum master at Grow, was instrumental in coordinating the summer food drive and has a special connection with Kids Helping Kids Pasco County, Inc., personally volunteering with the group for over a year now. “It was just perfect timing and a perfect fit when the Grow Financial Foundation was planning a food drive. I just knew we could help so many kids in need in our own backyard,” Volkert said.
“The best part was when we got to make the delivery and unload all the items at the sorting location, and there was so much! It fills my heart with joy and happiness knowing what a fantastic group of employees and members we have to be able to make such a huge impact in a very short time,” Volkert added.
Although 2020 may look different than years past, the Grow Financial Foundation remains committed to their mission and is proud of all they are able to do in our communities in Florida and South Carolina. If your 501(c)(3) organization is looking for support, learn more and apply here.

How to Find Your Routing & Account Numbers
When you make a payment online, by phone or on a mobile device, you may be asked for our routing number and your checking account number. Credit unions and banks use these numbers to identify accounts and make sure money gets where it’s supposed to be. You’ll also need to provide your routing and checking account numbers for:
- Direct deposits
- Electronic checks
- Military allotments
- Wire transfers
Where to Find Your Routing & Checking Account Numbers
Your personal checks include both our routing number and your account number, as shown on the Grow check example below.
Don’t have a Grow check? No worries.
Visit any Grow store and ask for a Direct Deposit Form. It lists both your routing number and checking account number.
