Grow Financial Hosts Friends of U.S. Military Families Golf Classic

Grow Financial hosted the fourth annual Friends of U.S. Military Families Golf Classic at the Pebble Creek Golf Course on Friday, October 19. Guests at the event participated in the golf scramble, entered into a raffle to win prizes, and enjoyed a barbeque lunch and award ceremony. The event was organized by Grow employees Joshua Nordholm, team coach in the member contact center, and Daniel Stevens, senior indirect operations specialist, and all proceeds benefitted the Friends of U.S. Military Families, Inc.

“As you all know, Friends of U.S. Military Families is a great organization,” Nordholm said. “We’re glad to be able to support them with this event every year.”

Friends of U.S. Military Families raises funds to support the military community and their families, including those currently serving on active duty, wounded warriors and organizations providing assistance to veterans. Through generous contributions, Friends of U.S. Military Families has provided scholarships to students from military families, financial assistance to active duty personnel and their dependents, seeing-eye dogs to visually-impaired veterans, and aid for the recovery of wounded warriors. Christen Burden, a market manager at Grow and secretary on the board of Friends of U.S. Military Families, attended the golf scramble to show her support.

“Thank you so much everyone for your support of Friends of U.S. Military Families,” Burden said. “All of your money is definitely going toward a good cause, and we appreciate everything that you have donated to this event.”

Thank you to all those who joined us at the fourth annual Friends of U.S. Military Families Golf Classic to golf for a good cause! If you’d like to learn more about Friends of U.S. Military Families and how you can support them, visit friendsofusmilitaryfamilies.com.
