If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the grand opening of our newest Grow store, we have great news to share! We’re thrilled to announce the official opening of Grow West River, located at 1701 North Oregon Avenue, just a few blocks northwest of downtown Tampa.

Why West River?

Formerly, this area of West Tampa had no credit union or bank locations nearby, leaving residents without convenient financial service options. As a Community Development Financial Institution, we aim to impact our communities through increased access to financial products and services. When the opportunity to partner with the Tampa Housing Authority (THA) came around, it aligned perfectly with our mission. THA’s plan to revitalize the West River area involved developing several mixed-use buildings that combine residential and commercial spaces. Recognizing this location’s potential, we viewed it as an excellent opportunity to increase access to financial services in an underserved area of Tampa. Our new West River store officially opened on March 20, 2024, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and representatives from the Tampa Housing Authority.
