As a local credit union, we’re dedicated to giving back to the communities we serve. That’s why we introduced Round Up, Give Back — a program designed to increase the credit union’s collective charitable impact by providing our members with a convenient way to donate. The idea was simple: spare change adds up to big things for the community.

For members enrolled in Round Up, Give Back, every qualified purchase with their Grow Visa^® credit or debit card¹ is automatically rounded up to the next dollar.² Half of that roundup goes toward the prize pool, and the other half goes to the charity of their choice from our list of charity partners.³

$10,000 in Charitable Donations

We tested the theory that small change adds up to big things, and it held true! As of October 2023 — just over one year since we introduced the program — you have collectively donated over $10,000 to local charities through your monthly roundup donations.

Causes near and dear to your hearts included supporting families in need, providing resources to the military community, caring for animals and more. The spirit of charity and service is at the forefront at Grow Financial for members and team members alike, and we’ve received lots of positive feedback about the introduction of the Round Up, Give Back program. Stefanie Storm, Grow team member, shared, “I love how this program automatically rounds up my spare change and donates it to Celebrate Birthdays, a local organization that provides joy, love and support for children in foster care.”

We’re thrilled to support local organizations in their efforts to make a positive impact on the world around us. The list of charitable partners for Round Up, Give Back includes a dozen wonderful charities, and we hope to grow the list as the program continues to gain momentum. Thank you to everyone who participated in the program this year!

In addition to donating $10,000, members also enjoyed the second component of the program — winning prizes! So far, we’ve heard that members have won gift cards to Target, Amazon^® and Dunkin^®, among other prizes. We look forward to seeing what you win in 2024.
